The Hungry Guest is a corner grocers. Sort of. It sells a huge range of amazing produce.  Since opening just about a year and a half ago it has become an institution in Petworth.

A new jewellers in High Street, Petworth.  They are located where Plum and Red Card used to be and do some gorgeous looking jewellery.

Olympic Flame Goes Through Petworth

It seemed like the whole town turned out to see the flame carried through the middle of town.

Bells on the Leconfield Hall Petworth Market Square

Here's something I didn't know.  There is a set of bells on the Leconfield Hall.  I spotted this on the day the Olympics started.  The Leconfield Hall joined in with the national ring of bells the morning of the openingn ceremony.

Had breakfast here one Sunday morning a few weeks back. It is pricey, but good value. You get a lot for your money and it is all good quality stuff. Lovely spot for watching the world go by and very well done out.

It has been open since I think the end of June and seems to be getting plenty of customers. Its a shame it isn't open in the evening but it is a good option during the day.

Checkers Antiques

Its now an interesting antique which specialises in (I think) glass. I guess from the name it used to be a small theatre. Or maybe not. But this early morning shot catches it in the sun.

Not entirely sure what this is all about. A set of posters with a sort of late eighteenth century look about them have appeared in Lombard Street. What does it all mean? I have no idea, but they do look interesting.

Petworth Festival Art Exhibition

This year the Petworth Festival includes an art exhibition. It will be in the Exhibition Room at Petworth House. It will open at 2pm on 16th of July and will be open from 11.00 am to 5 pm from the 17th to the 20th of July and the same hours from the 23rd to the 27th of July.

I snapped these daffodils in front of St Marys Church last Saturday. There is still plenty of opportunity for bad weather ahead, but at least once the daffodils start appearing you know that Spring is here and Summer isn't too far away.
