Shopping in Petworth: Dug Out Canoe from Riverbank

Petworth is a great place to find interesting and unusual merchandise making it a great destination for a shopping trip when you are looking for something out of the ordinary. The whole town is a bit like a big department store. This series of posts highlights a few examples to whet your appetite.

This dug out canal dates from the early Eighteenth Century and was probably used for eel fishing.  It is on sale for £1250.

Riverbank - is a distinctive antique shop in the High Street with a penchant for nautical items, but lots of other interesting stuff too.  lindaburkewhite@googlemail.com
